Moto Andina suggests a variety of circuits through the multiple landscapes of Bolivia. Nevertheless, we are at your entire disposal in case you prefer to organize your own itinerary, which would correspond to exactly what you would like to do.

 3 to 4 days – 375 miles of which half is asphalted.

This circuit, which is of no particular technical difficulty, takes you from La Paz to the valley of Sorata at the foot of the imposing massifs of the Cordillera. Then we change direction and go to the Sanctuary of Copacabana with the possibility of visiting the mythical Island of the Sun. Finally, before returning to La Paz, we trail round the Altiplano keeping the Royal Cordillera as a background and make a detour to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku in order to admire the famed Sun Gate.




5 days – 375 miles of which 10% is asphalted

This loop, which leaves from and arrives in La Paz, will enable you to tour around the mythic Illimani, the three-peaked massif that dominates La Paz and its region. Distances are short, but differences in altitudes (over 10,000 ft.) are impressive, reaching narrow green fruit-covered valleys at less than 6000 ft. You will also be able to discover the mining villages of the Quimsa Cruz massif, which offer mineral richness to this part of Bolivia. The return will be through the tropical valleys of the Yungas at about 5000ft.

3 different ways to discover the Uyuni Salar:

  « Salt and Sun » - At the heart of the Uyuni Salar - 5 days – about 940 miles of which a third is asphalted.

This circuit will take you to the immense salt lake of the Altiplano, the Uyuni Salar, which you will cross from the south to the north. A trip you will never forget…

  « Salt and Silver » - The Uyuni Salar and Potosi - 9 days - about 1400 miles, of which a little less than half is asphalted.

This tour will leave La Paz, cross the Altiplano in order to reach the temperate valleys, pass through the colonial capital of Sucre and turn toward the ancient imperial city of Potosi, which in the past used to be the largest and the richest city in the world. It is located at the foot of mines that have swallowed millions of souls and that have enriched Europe. Then we return to the Salar. Going from what used to be the most civilized to that which remains the wildest…

  « Salt and Ash » - The Uyuni Salar and the Sajama – 6 – days – just over 900 miles of which about a third is asphalted.

This circuit will enable you to cross the Altiplano, to daydream in the middle of the Uyuni Salar, cross its little brother, the Coipasa Salar, before reaching a difficult trail at the foot of the Sahama volcano, the tallest point in Bolivia, which reaches the 21,500 foot mark. A handful…




Two circuits that depart from the vast plains of the east to the mountain peaks in the west, while crossing the Amazon jungle. On the way, two days are given for exploration, either in Bella Vista a secluded spot at the heart of the Amazon jungle, or in Rurrenabaque a more frequented town, whose civilized touch fades quickly as we get into a canoe and drift into the arms of the surrounding rivers…

Either way, you will experience an exceptional contact with the abundance of nature. A good mosquito repellent is a must…

  Trinidad - Bella Vista - La Paz - 7 days – about 750 miles of which only 10% is asphalted

Departure from Trinidad, at the heart of the Amazons, toward Bella Vista. The circuit combines 2 days of exploration in the jungle and its surrounding savanna, then a slow ascent to the Andes, going through the tropical valleys of the Yungas and crossing a mountain pass at over 16,000 ft. before reaching La Paz.

  Santa Cruz - Trinidad - Rurrenabaque - La Paz - 10 days – just over 1250 miles of which 20% is asphalted.

Departure from Santa Cruz, economic capital of the country, pass Trinidad, mosquito capital of the country… The trail meanders to the heart of the jungle before arriving in Rurrenabaque. Small pause to explore the river bank and maybe an expedition on canoe during our day of rest. We approach the Andes by the vertiginous routes of the Yungas, pass 16,000 ft. and descend toward La Paz, the political capital of Bolivia.




  From La Paz to La Paz, going through the Chapare, Santa Cruz and the jungle – 11 days – almost 2000 miles, of which about half is trail.

This circuit takes us from La Paz, through the Andean mountain passes, before descending toward the valleys of Cochabamba. We will go through some mountain passes before leaving the Andes and entering the pre-Amazonian zone of the Chapare, an important region of coca plantations. We move on to Santa Cruz, the return will be through the Amazonian jungle: Trinidad, a day to rest in Bella Vista and to enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature, then we cross the jungle again to reach the foothills of the Andes once more. We will pass the tropical valleys of the Yungas at 5000 ft. before going up the Andes (16,000 ft.) and descending again toward La Paz.
